How does the custom jewelry design process work at Forever Rox?

It starts with your story. You share your vision — a ring, pendant, or redesigned heirloom — and John guides you through stone selection, metal, and setting, then designs and handcrafts the finished piece in our Incline Village workshop. As a family-owned jeweler, every step is handled personally, from first sketch to final polish.

How long does a custom jewelry piece take to make?

Timing depends on the design's complexity and stone sourcing. Simpler pieces move quickly, while intricate or restoration work takes longer. John will give you a clear timeline at your consultation but on average 4-6 weeks is our turnaround.

How much does custom jewelry cost?

Custom pieces span a wide range depending on the gemstones, metal, and design. After understanding what you have in mind, John can recommend options to suit your style and budget — there's no obligation to start.

Can you redesign or recreate an heirloom or piece I already own?

Absolutely — it's one of the things we're known for. John regularly transforms inherited and existing jewelry into something fresh while preserving its sentimental value, including full restorations and heirloom recreations. Bring your piece in and we'll talk through what's possible.

Are the diamonds and gemstones in your custom pieces natural?

Yes. Our custom creations feature all-natural diamonds and genuine gemstones, hand-selected for quality and lasting value although we have designed custom pieces using Lab Grown Diamonds and Synthetic Stones.

Who designs and makes the custom jewelry?

All of our custom jewelry is created by John Roxburgh, owner and full-time jeweler at Forever Rox. With more than 20 years of experience and GIA credentials, John handles design, stone setting, and fabrication himself — right here in Incline Village.

Do I need an appointment, and can you work with me if I'm not local?

Walk-ins are welcome during business hours, and we recommend booking a consultation for custom design so John can give you his full attention. We proudly serve clients throughout Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Carson City, and we're happy to begin the conversation by phone before you visit.
